Max Tillson is student of the month in the Kindergarten Class of Room 210! Max comes into the classroom every morning with a smile and begins working on his morning paper right away. He always completes his work on time! Max follows the classroom rules, helps other students, and is showing a fantastic improvement in letter recognition. I am so proud of his hard work and accomplishments in kindergarten this year. So happy to have Max in my classroom! Keep up the good work!
The student of the month for Mrs. Ridgway’s class is Miss Averie Conner. I spotted a little something extra special in Miss Averie the very first night that I met her. Averie has a thirst to learn more and more and more. The night of Open House can be very scary and sometimes a little overwhelming, but not for Miss Averie. I could see her eyes soaking in everything around the room and I could hear the questions she was asking her parents. I knew from that moment that she was going to soak up everything I said and keep it wrapped tightly in her brain. Averie is a very hard worker, and is always eager to help me with anything I ask. Also, Averie is very sweet and gives me world class hugs, at the moments when I need them the most. She helps anyone that is having trouble with anything, and she’d be the first girl to pick something up off the ground if someone dropped something. It’s an honor to have Averie in my class, and I hope she continues to have this same love of learning!
Bailee Wireman is the student of the month in Mrs. Woodbury’s first grade classroom. Bailee is a hard worker. She comes to class in the morning and gets to work right away. She is a good listener and always tries her best. I am glad to have Bailee in my first grade classroom.
Ryker Strait is the student of the month for Mrs. Randall’s first grade class. Ryker is very polite to the other students and adults. He uses the words please and thank you. During class discussions he eagerly raises his hand to share his thoughts and answers. He follows the classroom, bathroom, and hallway rules by waiting in line quietly, raising his hand to talk, and not playing in the bathroom. His work is completed with his best effort and always on time. Ryker is a great role model for the students in the way he works with others during partner and group time. I am blessed to have Ryker in my class and look forward to watching him grow this year.
Carollee Brandon is the student of the month in Mrs. McQueen’s class! Carollee has worked so incredibly hard this grading period. She has tried her best on all of her work and it is paying off. She is an excellent listener and is excited to learn new things! Great job, Carollee! We are so proud of you!

Jordyn is a classroom and school role model in the way she treats others and always contributes thoughtfully to discussions. She is quick to help a peer or offer encouragement without being asked. The student of the month in Miss Kirkman’s room for December is Gracie Minnis. Gracie has been making great progress so far this year. She is a great independent worker in class and is able to keep herself focused and move from one task to the next. Gracie always participates in class discussion. If she does not get something right the first time, she keeps trying. Gracie has one of the kindest hearts I have ever known in a child. She is so loving and giving to her classmates. She is very quick to help anyone or give something to someone in need. Gracie also met all three of her winter NWEA goals. I enjoy every day spent with Gracie in the classroom, and I know her classmates do as well!
Lucas Bilbrey is Room 322’s student of the month. He is a bright and caring young man. Lucas loves to do math and I love watching him think as he is figuring out the answers to difficult problems. He never gives up! When I give a writing assignment, I can hardly wait to read what he has written. He has a wonderful ability to choose vivid words and phrases that hold the reader’s attention. Sometimes I wonder if he will grow up to become a famous writer! He is thoughtful of his fellow students and very respectful to every adult he encounters throughout the day. He has a quiet gentle nature that makes him well-liked by his classmates. I consider him a blessing to teach each day and have a lot of respect for him. Keep up the great work, Lucas!

Mrs. Meyer has selected Layna Bousman as Student of the Month for Room 430, 6th Grade. Layna continues to build herself each day into a more independent learner. Changing classes for different subject areas this year was a challenge that Layna has accepted with enthusiasm. She has worked hard to manage her organizational skills; making the transition between classes much easier. Layna has been great to offer help to other students who are needing some extra assistance in their organization as well. Great work Layna! Thank you for being a wonderful leader in your school and classroom.
